EARTH
SPELLS:
ANIMATE
DEAD
(LEVEL
V) |
Spell Effect. This spell animates a number of dead creatures based on the caster's level. The creatures have to be no more than 5 days dead for a level 5 mage, and the stronger the mage the easier he/she can animate very old bones. The spell will animate the remnants of the beings that are present; however if a large part of the being’s remnants is missing the result will lack those parts. Unskilled mages may produce animated skeletons without legs or moving limbs and other scary things...

The animated beings lack mind and have a weak
cár’áll, which can be influenced
easily by magical means. They obey the caster's
command as long as they last, and the commands that are given must be easy and
precise, e.g. “attack” or “defend me”. Usually the commands are spoken, however
skilled mages can telepathically control the beings'
cár’áll, thus making them have access
to the caster's mind to a certain degree by
cár’áll sharing; this makes them able
to understand more complicated commands as well.
How long the animated being will last depends on the level and skill of the
caster - usually varying from a few hours to several days. Skilled mages can
actually animate beings that are decent in fighting, but usually the beings are
used as assistances and other easy tasks. In general these tasks depend on what
the beings did in their lives, because this
cár’áll can still be revived most
easily by the mages. However, if the artificial
cár’áll sustaining the animation
fades, the animated being returns into the realms of the dead.

Casting Procedure.
The mage has to drip some blood on the remnants of every being he is going to
animate, and then utter the formula. If the animation is successful, the
remnants will be pulled together and joined; then the being will “come to life”.

stand next to the being he wants to animate; however skilled mages can walk
about 1 ped away. Also, a weak mage may only animate one creature at a time,
while the skilled mages are known to animate over 15 beings with one spell.

Casting Time.
About 10 seconds.

Counter Measures/Enhancing Measures.
Exorcism spells can easily destroy animated beings; also ecuá spells will do the
same thing.
If a skilled necromancer uses voidras and a part of his body (a piece of
skin or a finger) as well as blood, then the animated being will become a Bone
Golem, and will last as long as the caster lives.
